Mary The Mystical "Ever-Virgin"
A
key fundamental fact of the Christian
faith is the v
irgin
birth of Christ. This required the
supernatural conception of Christ in the
womb of the virgin Mary without the seed
of man (Matthew
1:23,25).
Did Mary remain a perpetual virgin
throughout her life? With the
Bible as the authority in this regard;
we can firmly conclude that Mary did
not remain a virgin. According
to
Matthew 13:55;
Mark 6:3; and
Galatians 1:19... Mary was blessed
with the ability to be fruitful by
giving birth to several more children by
her husband, Joseph.
To suggest that Mary remained a
perpetual virgin has been a tool
of deception instigated by
Satan
to elevate her to a status of deity.
The ultimate aim in suggesting that Mary
remained a virgin throughout her life is
to compete with the biblical perspective
of Jesus Christ and ultimately diminish
the authenticity of God's Word..
It is very disconcerting to know that
all who exalt Mary as the mystical
Ever Virgin are entreating an image
that resembles a pagan deity and not the
Mary of the Bible.
Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
