True
Success
How
unfortunate one can become because of
their suc
cesses
and accomplishments. Very often, success
is the Devil's tool to our failures.
While we are prone to measure success by
virtue of accomplishments; God measures
success by virtue of accommodation. That
is: we yield ourselves thoroughly to the
influence of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians
5:18). Success is born from success.
Jesus Christ did not and does not seek
success for us; He Is God's success to
us. This reality is a potent
disadvantage for the devil. The
Christian does not aim for success; we
are in possession of Success.
Jesus Christ never had to achieve
success... He is Success.
Christ Jesus Is Our Success.
There
is actually only one thing that you can
succeed in with God, and that is the
surrender of your will. In
doing so, the Holy Spirit will eagerly
make holiness the delight and discipline
of your heart. Simply put:
success is Christ-Likeness in and
through the common times and the
drudgery and battering of life. If you
make success your goal; you fail. God
has never commanded us to achieve for
Him... but to Believe Him (Proverbs
3:5,6). If you make Christ-likeness
your discipline; you are a success.
Amen!
Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
