Revelation - Chapter One

The Consumation Of The
Ages
- vs.18, 20
Verses
18 through 20 are known as the index
of the Book of Revelation, in
particular: verse 19. These are
critical verses as it lays the ground
work for a proper
interpretation that is both literal
and symbolic. Nothing is left out
concerning the age of now and
the age of new. Most
importantly, the focus is the Lord Jesus
Christ, the God of the ages.
A.
The Author Of
Creation- vs.18
B.
The Authority Of The Creator- vs.19
Note What He Conveys:
-
He's Omniscient vs.19b
...things
which
thou hast
seen,
and the things
which
are,
and the things which
shall
be
hereafter...
-
He's Omnipotent - vs.20a
...The
mystery
of the
seven
stars
which thou
sawest
in
my
right
hand
-
He's Omnipresent - vs.20b ...the
seven
golden
candlesticks.
The seven
stars
are
the
angels
of the seven
churches:
and the seven candlesticks which
thou sawest (You will note that
Jesus speaks of His presence and
perspective of things in heaven and
earth simultaneously).
Make no mistake about it... this world
is under the control of the Lord Jesus
Christ.
