Responsibility Of The Church
Luke 16:22-24
The
reality of Hell isn't a very POPULAR
subject, but it is, indeed, a very
IMPORTANT one. Jesus preached ferve
ntly
about this horrible place for one simple
reason: HE DOES NOT WANT ANYONE TO GO
THERE! Many Christians
believe that "hell fire" preaching is
cruel, unnecessary, and
counter-productive. Not the Lord Jesus
Christ! He emphasized the reality of
hell through His preaching and warned
lost people about this horrible place.
As
followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, it
is our responsibility to highlight the
horror of hell and warn people about the
eternal torments of Hell. No one else
will do it or wants to do it. Certainly,
not the Devil, the religiously
ecumenical world, nor the tolerant
churches of worldly acceptance will do
it. The world cannot afford a worldly
church. The New Testament Church
must preach the Gospel and the
consequence of rejecting the Gospel.
