Getting
It Right. -
Proverbs 14:12
The
Bible says that Satan is like a roaring
lion. His ability is likened to a lion.
He is able to combine speed, powe
r
and stealth that is difficult to
overcome. This exposes the reality that
real danger and temptation is a
perpetual issue. The dangers and
pitfalls we try to avoid have a way of
creeping in. Example: The devil will not
tempt you with stand-alone error, he
will provoke toleration of error
along-side the truth (Matthew 4:1,4). It
is astounding what Christians of today
tolerate!
The Christian life is the only reality
that is moved by eternal values. Yet, so
many believers feel very unfortunate.
Many feel this way because we tolerate
vain expectations. The only expectation
God demands of you is to trust Him.
Tolerating any other expectation will
rob you of a tenacious desire to enjoy
your relationship with Christ and leave
you overextended.
One point must remain perpetually clear:
The Holy Spirit will never direct us
contrary to the Word of God. Thus the
fundamental concern for the believer is
to understand the Word of God as the
only reality and reliability. The Bible
is the only resolve that instills a pure
ambition for the glory of God. Walking
in the Light of God's Word is the only
way to be competent for the Glory of
God.
