The
Christadelphian Sect
True
Or False?
"Dear Dr. Belanger, I
have a friend who is a
Christadelphian who thinks what I
believe is not the real truth. He
does not believe in the trinity, the
devil, heaven or hell and denies the
deity of Christ. How can I begin to
show him that the REAL truth that
Jesus IS LORD! Sincerely,
Kim S."
Chris
tadelphianism
is a religious movement begun by Dr.
John Thomas who
was born in London England on April 12,
1805. In 1832 he immigrated to the
United States. On the way to New York, his ship
encountered several terrible storms that
threatened shipwreck and death. Dr.
Thomas promised God that if he were
delivered, he would devote his life to
the study of religion. He made it to
America and kept his promise.
Christadelphianism is another clever
impersonation of Christianity.
Christadelphians are sincere about their
beliefs. While claiming to be the
restored truth, this cult group relies
on its own skewed interpretations
It denies the
devil's existence as a fallen angel, as
well as fiery hell, the Trinity, and even
denies that Jesus' sacrifice was
substitutionary, and it teaches that
Jesus had a sinful nature. It is
definitely not Christian. Like all
cults, Christadelphianism denies one or
more of the essential doctrines of
Christianity.
The danger of this cult is its
dangerously crafted approach to the
Bible. The Bible is always subordinate
to their faulty interpretations of
scripture. Any religious group that
denies the deity of Jesus Christ is
heretical and cursed by God. This
includes Christadelphianism. Discerning
believers will demonstrate zero
tolerance for this and any group/cult
that denies the sufficiency of the
atoning work of Christ and His Lordship.
The
study of God's Word is foundational and
essential to an effective ministry that
refutes heretical influences. This
requires a sound curriculum in Bible and
theological studies to achieve the
ultimate goal of exalting the Lord Jesus
Christ. The
Open Bible Institute provides an
exhaustive and exciting exposition of
God's Word beginning with Genesis and
continuing through Revelation. Rightly
dividing God's Word is the essential
objective of our effo
rts to enable
Christians to follow God's will. This
biblically based objective is essential
to nurturing the disciplines that are
necessary for the futherance of the
Gospel Of Jesus Christ.
Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
