                                     The Book Of Acts

Chapter One -

The Key To The Book Of Acts Is Verse one Of Chapter one.
It provides the basis for our faithfulness and fruitfulness. The momentum of Christianity is clearly portrayed in this one verse. It is no secret why the Gospel Of Jesus Christ is preached with power. -Notice Why:

I. Commenced by Jesus Christ -
vs.1a: ..all that Jesus began...
<> With His Presence - See Matthew 1:23 -
<> With His Preaching - Luke 24:32b - Acts 2:21,24
<>With Proof -vs.3 -See John 20:27 -                                      This made men Believe God & Believable about God. -             Note: Christ has proven:
] His Deity - Mt.22:42-
] His Destruction of the Devil - 1John 3:8b
] His Defeat over Death - 1 Cor.15:56-58-

II. Commitment of Jesus Christ -
vs.1b: ...Jesus began both to do...
<> He Did the Will of God - See John 19:30 ...It is finished...- Jn 4:34; 6:38
<> He's Doing the Will of God - He lives His life Before us...
To Behold / Believe / Behave -                                               Note: Christ Is Committed to:
a. Hear your prayers -
b. Bear your burdens - Heb.13:5,6-

III. Commanded by Jesus Christ -
vs.1:c: ...both to do and teach...
Note What Christ Taught And Commanded:                                     Brief Outline Of: Matt.28:18-20
The Command To Grow And Go Is: Special - Specific - Spiritual

<> To Spiritually Grow - Matt. 28:17,18 - 2 Peter 3:18
<> To Physically Go Phys - Matt. 28:19 - The success of church is not in its seating but its sending capacity.
<> To Perpetually Sow - Matt.28:19b    ...and teach...

The firm foundation of the Christian faith is the death of Jesus Christ and the empty tomb points to that wonderful reality.
The Bible declares that the death of Jesus paid the penalty for our sin in full.  But how can anyone know for sure that Christ's crucifixion was acceptable to God?  God's approval of Christ's sacrifice is proven by the resurrection. It stands as God's signed receipt that He is completely satisfied. This reality alone is what emboldened the early Church and continues to this day.

Sincerely, Dr. Arthur Belanger
