What is Amillennialism and is it biblically correct?

Amillennialism is the teaching that there is no literal 1000 year reign of Christ as referenced in Revelation 20. It sees the 1000 year period spoken of in Revelation 20 as figurative. Instead, it teaches that we are in the millennium now, and that at the return of Christ there will be the final judgment and the heavens and the earth will then be destroyed and remade. The Amillennial view meets with strong reproof from the Bible. It is born out of incorrect biblical interpretation.

Certainly, there will be a millennial when Christ will reign for one thousand years on earth. The millennial reign of Christ will mean the restoration of Israel with the reign of Christ accepted and appreciated by Israel. This cannot happen without Christ return to institute His reign. Obviously, Israel continues her rejection of Christ. This is why there will be a time known as The Great Tribulation when God will judge the nations of the world beginning with Israel that will result in a redeemed remnant ushered into the millennial.
